Dennis Holmes began his career in education in 1988 by volunteering to coach girls’ softball at Billings Senior High while finishing his undergraduate degree in Billings, MT. His first teaching job was at Lewis and Clark Junior High, where he taught health enhancement while coaching several sports teams. While in Billings, he taught grades K-12 and ended up as Principal of Billings Senior High 2006, a position he held for ten years. From there, he relocated to Gillette, WY in 2016 to open a new comprehensive high school, which he did successfully. He was then appointed Associate Superintendent of Instructional Support, a position he held until he and his wife relocated to Las Vegas, NV, in July of 2023. While in Las Vegas, he served as an Assistant Principal at Centennial High School. Dennis Holmes is excited to continue his career here in Pershing County and cannot wait to see Pershing County School District in action!
